Join The Fight Poem by Jennifer Lujanac

Join The Fight

Oh, you can write all you want.
You can scream at the top of your lungs...but it's not helping.
Get up off your butt, little boy, and go save yourself!
Oh, you tell me it's all too much to take.
You can talk to me till your lips are blue...
Get up off your couch, little boy!
Make a move, and save your soul!
Nobody's here to live for you.
Nobody's here to take your blame..
So get out of my way, little boy, if you can't join the fight!

Go write your riot song.
Go sing about a protest that will never take place!
You talk about a revolution, but you won't walk that path!
Oh, little boy, little boy!
There's so much for you to learn...
There's starvation and genocide!
Children with no parents, and lovers in mourning.
Yes! , little boy, there's pain all around.
But you can't talk the world to peace!
Get up off your butt, little boy, and march the streets.
I'm sick of hearing your lectures. I'm tiard of your scene.
