Tears of sorrow will be shed today
For the loss of our brother, Joseph,
Who touched our lives in so many ways
With his wisdom, humility, and compassion,
We witness his faith and courage
As he faced his own grave illness,
And we were awed by his serenity
While he awaited his imminent death.
As we sing and pray together
For his eternal rest,
May all that he was, and all that he did,
Call us to walk in his footsteps.
