Joy Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Joy

She was busy talking to Mr. Ed
Two girls came to flirt with me.
Then I saw her looking my way,
The two kids then laughed with glee!

I threw a pie in my best friends face,
The whipped cream got in his eye.
I said “hey would you like coffee with that? ”
Then I knew I’d have to fly!

The joys that we all share in life
Can be found in the things we do.
It can be found in the people that we love,
And can also be found in you!

I lift my guitar so you’ll sing along.
Neighbors come by just to hear me play.
So when you dropp by at any given time,
New joy will have come my way.
