Joyful Poem by Romesh De Silva

Joyful

I’m pencil sketching life
Rubbing out the lines
Colouring in rhymes
I am charcoal blue
Cell by cell I muse
Smudge the sky black
Speech in bubbles are read back
Paper creased with emotion
Warm colours cascade scenes, blissful explosion.
Happiness is sunshine so bright
Smiles on faces, white light
Naked voice evasive
Raw, real, beautifully native
Perfect passion drawn dot by dot, perfect.
