Judge Me Not Poem by Howard Michael Bricker

Judge Me Not

What appears may not be what exists
We each look out of the window of life with different eyes
We believe that we see water on a long lonely road
When there is none.
We awaken to the fact that it was just an illusion
A dream
Sometimes believe what we want to believe
Hear what we want to hear
Amidst all the illusions and confusions.
Reality becomes distorted
How many times have false words become self-perpetrating
Repeated over and over again,
Until finally the accuser has sentenced his victim
A listener, upon hearing a few facts, jumps to the same conclusion
The question is how to find the truth?
Who is ordained the judge?
There can be no trial or rebuttal
The trial over before it began
The accused is guilty by accusation
In life there is a final justice
Thank God, it always emerges
Thank God!
