Just A Lonely Girl Poem by Theresa Goertz

Just A Lonely Girl

Just a Lonely Girl
I’m just a lonely girl.
Lonely and blue.
I sit here alone with too much to do.
They think that I’m strong
That I can do no wrong.
If only they knew what I felt inside
Then for once I’d have nothing to hide.
I’ve put up a wall
Just to deal with it all.
But the emptiness I feel deep down
I no longer wish to keep.
For although I’m free
I don’t wish to be
This lonely and alone.
It chills me to the bone
To have no one to share
About the things that I care.
To sit here night after night
And pretend everything’s all right.
When all that I need to make my world calmer
Is my knight in shining amour.
