Just For You Poem by Douglas ClearyMaxwell

Just For You

I'm here by myself
With all these thoughts put on a shelf
I'm not asking for any wealth
I accept all the things for which i've dealt
It pains me to know that I've lost you
To the arms of another
But when I look in your eyes
And see that smile
I know it was worth all the while
I'm gonna miss you every day
But it will just have to be that way
I'd rather be alone
Knowing that you've found your home
And ten years later Ill see how much you've grown
And Ill still be on my own
But it won't matter anyway
Because Ill know that you've found your way
I'm gonna love you everyday
