Just Like A Dream Poem by Sweet Serendipity

Just Like A Dream

I feel the sand as it rolls around in my toes
The wind as it makes the smallest knots in my hair
I smell the salty mist rise from the ocean as it finally reaches my nose
It all feels like a dream, doesn't it?

I finally realize it is a dream
I wish it would never end
But wishes never come true for me, do they?
Life has never worked out for me the way I've wanted it to
I have been let down
Pushed around
But that's th thing about dreams...

They are like an escape from our everyday lives
I know now that it's okay to take in all the pain and missery throughout the day
Because at the end of it all
You get to feel the sensation of drifting off into paradise

a very beautiful poem, , where reality and dream are so effectively juxtaposed, , , the mundane and material end up in spiritual[[paradise]] thanx
