Just Like A Hero Poem by Taher Shemaly

Just Like A Hero

Lived my life, and the turbulent times,
raising up from infancy, and taught to be a man.
Thought of all the command and conquer,
as it is how to become one survivor.
You know...

Clouds of dreams just passed me by,
in Heavens or Earth or simply, in my sky.
Just like any teenager of that age,
surely you know, a hero by salvage.
But now, I know...

When you feel the heart in pain, Oh.
And so hard you try to restrain, Oh.
When you pass your hand on the head,
of a lil kid with a tear on your lip.
Just then, You're just like a hero.

I had a life, I had everything I needed,
I had people in and out of it at any time.
I had memories of the sweet and bitter,
Got the easy and hard in no time.
But I know...

Seen it there in a mother's eye,
where bluish heavens wash away the sadness.
Or in a beaten old and shaking hand,
of time and age and the soft kindness.
and then, I just know...

When your soul fly away, just away,
for the unseen in the tired eyes.
Or when a kiss fly ahead on a head,
of a friendless heart in waiting it lies, it lies,
Just then, truely you are,
just like a hero.
Like a hero...
