Just Want To Be Held By You Poem by Heather Stratton

Just Want To Be Held By You

With every word you speak
I melt to the place your hands would be
I melt to the spot you may never know of
.
Every day I awake
To the thought of you
To the hope it will be today
.
Don't think you can see
Don't think you know
Just want to be held by you
.
You claim distance seperates us
I can't be sure you agree
I can't help but think you have been hurt and are scared to be hurt by me
.
You take me to a place
A place I've never been
A place I can only return with you by my side
.
Don't think you can see
Don't think you know
Just want to be held by you
.
I love you as much as a person can
Do you love me so
Do you know which road to go
.
I love to conversate with you
Speaking to you makes me feel a feeling I can't explain
Speaking to you takes me away from this land
.
Don't think you can see
Don't think you know
Just want to be held by you
.
How do you do it to me
You make my heart fall through the cracks
You make my heart joyfully dance
.
All is well until I come to my senses
Then I remember you don't feel the same way
Then I remember you don't love me
.
Don't think you can see
Don't think you know
Just want to be held by you
.
Does this give you a clue
I like you (more then a friend)
I love you (until the end)
