Kahan she
Etana lash aayei cche
Ki harek din
Shaam mei
Nadi ke ghat mei
Lash jalei cche
Aar ratri ke andhakar mei
Wahi bola gunjei cche
Je jalawei ke samay bolecche?

Where from
Come the dead bodies
Every day
At eve
On the ghat of the river
There burns a body
And in the nightly silence
The same sound echoes it
Whcih it is said to in choric voices?
