Keeping Secrets Today Is So Passé Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Keeping Secrets Today Is So Passé

Limits have been reached.
Keeping secrets is so passé.
White lies are just lies.
Whether they are wrong or right,
To say to tell or to do to admit.
And few today with any integrity left,
Refuse to hear a secret told to believe.
Knowing immediately,
They are expected to deceive.
And if they are not the kind,
To have that state of mind...
A defaming will be theirs to experience.
That's just the way it is,
In a world that has come to value degradation.
