When the heavy tears bare to my eyes
My heart is true to an emotion to realise
Even in life it’s harder than you know inside
I will defend you forever, die by your side

I woke one day and realised I had to be the man
You need for your every esteem and future plan
Your heart is the beat inside my chest and soul
I was lost once a time and you made me whole

Even now when life’s endeavours, tear me apart
Your life and you alive is so, to hold in my heart
I love you so much I wish you knew how I do
On days when I not forthcoming I still do love you

For you made me a father, a parent, a man
A guardian, a spirit, you gave me a will to span
Don’t ever be afraid cos’ I will never leave you
Part of my flesh, and my body, that is now so true

Don’t ever think your alone, in a shade of blue
Your tiny frame in my arms I will never let go
Your joyous laughter and the life, I deeply feel
It’s almost more than I can hold inside, to reveal

You are my daughter, my life and all being free
There’s such a world out there, that I want you to see
I will stand with you all the way, as long as life will span
Before my days are through, and I’ve given as much as I can

When my heart beats inside your chest and soul
As my body lay’s still, I have done as much to make you whole
Walking within this world with the courage I bestowed
A heart that is true and a memory I have sowed

I will watch over you forever, in this life or the next
When you fall, and the tears come down, in life so complex
My hands will reach out to embrace you again
For I am your father and your life is never in vain

I wish I could be granted to see you through
And stay by your side till the end rings true
