Kiss Me Poem by Amanda May Moore

Kiss Me

Rating: 5.0

So that is what the candy heart said,
“kiss me.” She gazed at the little heart…
And pondered why on earth she would.
I mean it’s candy for Pete’s sake!

At least in kissing it her heart would
Never ever dare care to break.
See at least there isn’t a risk
But then where is the fun?

“Kiss me, ” said he.
Well, this could be dangerous thought she.
“I want to be your heart, ” said he.
As he handed her the candy.

Beautiful poem Amanda. I like the lines 'See at least there isn’t a risk But then where is the fun? ' Overall, it was cleverly executed. Love is a risk, but the reward is so satisfying...like the taste of heart candy! A perfect poem for Valentine's Day. Ten from me! -Michael
