I hear the Cynics talk a lot;
I hear them night & day,
But, I never hear the mention of;
Maximillian Kolbe`
I stood before the Starvation Cell
in Auchwich; Cried at the bitter scene.
Max, he stepped out from the crowd,
Take me and not this TEEN.
He went so willingly to Cell 18
and there He starved to death,
He gave life to a younger man,
What greater love on Earth.
I remembered many years ago
We went to see the play
and the memory of the great man
is alive to this very day.
Remember, when your alone
or you have lost your way,
a precious life was given back;
Maximillian Kolbe`
Again an excellent description of a terrible chapter in lifes history.
