L'Il One O L'Il One Poem by Lloyd Savage

L'Il One O L'Il One

L'il One O L'il One
Come along with me;
For we must move and move along
Until our souls are free.

Each soul is like a moving leaf
A falling from a tree.
So L'il One O L'il One
Come along with me.

L'il One, O' L'il One
These are memories of the past
And they're only part of life, -
Shows how long a life can last!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem in my original first copy said a dying leaf but I changed it here to a moving leaf. The idea of this poem is one is being taken away by their angel at death as the angel calls them a little one. I do not think of the soul as something that dies. And like most poems it can say things deeper than even the poet ever understands. A lot of my poems I have been told is like that.
