Terry Lynn Hefner we still love you;
Your mom feels sad she was not better to you;
And we still are waiting for you to be found
After 27 years where were you bound?
Your profile and picture is still on
The Charley Project.com, in the Texas state missing;
And though you've never met me
I help your mom keep her sanity when she crys
And misses you most days.
We put ribbons on the oak tree for you
In watching for you to come home,
And messages on our website
Yet still each day you're gone.
You are 47 or so years old now
But though I never met you
And Harry Daryl has passed away
I an your mom are friends and hearing
About you, seeing your pictures and her grief
I too love you like a daughter through knowing her.
We just trust one day you'll call
No matter what you did or where you are;
Or you will find a way to escape what's holding you
Cause to us you are a STAR! !
