La dolce vita
Flying from hilltop to hilltop
Wining and dining the gods
Dancing happily with the stars
Making unhurried love to angels
Could life as we know it be sweeter?
Sailing from ports with girls on each arm
Transcending seas with unbothered calm
Chasing the rainbow and catching it in hand
Assailing the wind still living to tell the tale
Could life as you know it be sweeter?
Partying dusk to dawn sleeping late kissing the moon
For those chosen truly great daylight comes too soon
Reversing poor earth on her axis round and round
Gliding out of the sky frolicking on golden clouds
Has life as they know it ever been sweeter?
Cheering wildly apace abandoning yester years' pains
Love and laughter flowing in every direction each way
Wine and song lighting the soul its dark cavern secrets
Cool breeze and soft offerings blunting want and need
Could this life as we know it ever be sweeter?
