Labor Pain Poem by Jayatissa K. Liyanage

Labor Pain

Unmatched
Unparalleled
Unimaginable
Inimitable Pain, said, it is
Exclusively a woman only
Is made naturally to bear
Once borne, in her own way
Yields, yet incomparable
World of satisfaction, joy
And, most of all, divine love
As well as the most sacrosanct
Motherhood par divinity
For Universal sharing

Labor pain leading to child birth is acute and severe! Women alone can bear this excruciating pain. But once when she becomes a mother, she forgets this pain altogether and exults at the new honor of being invested with motherhood. Her heart then fills with divine love, selfless and unmatched! A great poem extolling motherhood!
