Lack of wisdom

No it never pays
But lays
Betrayal
From people considered to be loyal

Never bank of trusted lieutenants
Who will sent you
In the exile
And control power meanwhile

So we have read
From history of dead kings
Who lost their kingdom?
For the lack of wisdom

But it was only instrument
That kings had to bank as they were sent
As their representative
For consolidation of power over natives

But they never missed chance
And struck at once
By changing sides
And making clear divide of influence

Person or nation
They have suffered defeat and faced humiliation
When banked upon unreliable ally
They have brought down their down fall easily
