Lady Of The Lake 2 Poem by Dave Alan Walker

Lady Of The Lake 2

Rating: 5.0

I saw the old lady
again today
the one who lives
across the way

She took my hand
and walked me
towards the light

It was so beautiful and bright
heavenly souls all waiting in a line
but I had to close my eyes
and turn away

The old lady said
don't go back into the dark
it's time to start a new life
with souls of the same heart

I said
I've got to stay behind
and watch over my daughters life
I trust nobody but me and
her mother to make sure
she has a good start in life
so I will walk on the dark side
to be by her side

when she's made her life
and I know she's happy inside
I will come to the light

The person has taken the right decision to take care of his/her daughter instead of getting enlightened himself/herself. If every parent thinks this way and avoid all distractions, this world will be a better place for future generations! Nice poem, Dave!
