Lamb Of God Poem by Anna Petrashishina

Lamb Of God

When people made sacrifices back before Christ, they had to get a pure lamb that was just born.
In order to sacrifice it for forgiveness of sins and all of their scorn.
It had to be half alive in order for the sins to transfer as you lay your hands on it and so that it dies with your sins and gives you its innocense.
Christ brought a sacrifice so much more intense.
Blood running down his back and face.
Hung on the cross as I gaze at his grace.
Beaten until his skin did not show anymore.
But the soldiers that raised their hand to him didn't know what was in store.
Humble even as nails were struck in his palms into the tree.
Sweat and blood running into his eyes until he could not see.
Love raining down even as a spear was stabbed into his ribs.
His robe was torn apart and offered for dibs.
He is thbe Lion and the Lamb, sacrificed for our transgression.
He didn't care about making an impression.
He had one purpose, which was to save us through his love.
After three days, he resurrected like a dove.
Our God is alive and living within our hearts.
When you acknowledge him as your Savior, that's wherew it all starts.
A life of freedom and divine love in our everyday deeds.
Bring people to him and planting many seeds.
He was the ultimate sacrifice.
And now I give him my life and time as a price.
Giving him my devotion as an ulimate gift, to touch his heart.
Learning and listening, growing in relationship so we never fall apart.

Average poem. It would be a better poem if God actually existed. Good try though.
