Last Words Poem by Timmy Tubbs

Last Words

Our hurtful words cripple buffalo
Your last words unplugged my veins
And my blood spilled dry
It left hands together praying to god that I die
And my
My words ignited your cold engines
My sneaky brown eyes snuck in again
And made you remember when
I try to understand I’m always wrong
But he swears we’re even

Just please listen once again
Nothing will ever be the same
Still in love and utterly hating each other
We’re polishing hate that will never shine
Sadly, we both turned color
Not to say I miss them
I’m just going to miss how lovers look at eachother

A wistful but depressing piece of the personal Apocalypse of heartbreak. Some nice imagery in here, 'hurtful words cripple buffalo'. Well said. A good read. - K.
