When you come around you always have to leave
Leave me hanging and wondering what could be
Lately you're all I think about
Wishing that maybe you would come back around

When the storms rolled over me
You always knew just the right things to say
You melted my heart away
And lately I catch myself daydreaming that you're here

Wishing you really were, because I need you now
I feel like such a fool though to think
Someone like you could love a girl like me
But I fell and I fell hard for you

Lately I've been going over our talks in my head
And I wonder where did I go wrong
Thought I was everything you wanted
If only you knew that no one else makes me feel the way you do

It's been a few days since I've heard from you
But it seems like forever
You wounded my heart after so long
Because of you now I'm torn into

Lately I think about those things you said
I'm wondering were afraid to leap
Or were you lying the whole time
It doesn't matter anymore

I wish you well, I really do
But as for me you will never leave my mind
I hope and pray that I find someone like you
Because I know someone like you is what I need
