Lately, Loneliness Is My Best Friend Poem by Felicity Phillips

Lately, Loneliness Is My Best Friend

I'm numb,
I've pretty much lost all feeling,
Every time I see my so called 'friends',
It hits me like a heart attack
As if they were all laughing at me,
I bet they wouldn't laugh if they knew how much it hurt.
To know nobody cares about you,
Nobody wants to know your true feelings,
To feel like a nobody,
I just want something more.

Something more may be hard to imagine,
But imagine a world with happiness and peace,
Where there was no bullying and nobody felt lonely,
Where there was only bright skies and sunshine.
Nobody ever imagines how bad being lonely truly is,
Until they have to face it.

I hit the floor, I don't know if I can take it anymore,
It's as if my heart's been shattered one too many times.
Like my final breath has been taken away.

It's too much,
Way too much.
Too much drama,
Too many tears,
I am broken I tell you, broken.

I truly believe loneliness is a lost of sense,
A lost of the person you truly are.
When everything means nothing and if you want to go back to the way you were,
You have to fight.
Fight real hard.
Fight until you're almost dead.
Try your hardest, just be yourself.
And stop trying to be lonely,
Lonely is a just a state of mind, you never truly are lonely.
