Lawsuit Of Death

Rating: 5.0

I'm suing death
because I want more life
But time's the harsh judge
that is never on my side

It's odd how I never thought of death when I was young and dumb and callow... I should have been thinking about it... a lot. Now I am old enough to think like you do in this dark but clever poem but I think the judge has given me my quota of extensions and my lawyer reminds me of me when I was young and dumb and callow.. A clever but very deep poem, Kevin. Top marks and onto my fav shelf

Ever so succinctly, you have brilliantly summed up the themes of: life and death; lifespan. A truly outstanding poem, Kevin! I always benefit from reading your profound poetry. Thank you.

Death will win eventually. Just ask for an extension of time.
