Layers Poem by Zakhele Anigon

Layers

Rating: 5.0

The only place I see myself as one is in a mirror.
I am blended, parsed and rendered
And all the layers are projected into a single image
But images do not include voices
And I have more than one
Which one would you listen to?
Which one should I let you listen to?
All and none
Ears are mostly deaf
So fragments are dropped
Beautiful pieces of a complex puzzle of many layers
Like an ever prized hidden treasure
Waiting patiently for the adventurer to follow each and every clue
And discover its greatness

We can spend a lie time trying to find ourselves, but we can find love and happiness along the way. A great poem.
