Le Owayizala

Sibonga yona le eyodwa owayizala
Noma singazi ukuthi zingaki osazibulala,
Phela imithombo ethembekile iyasho
Ukuthi ziningi esezalala kobandayo lo umhlaba.
Okubi nje ukuthi nonyokokhulu lo obekuzamazama
Usawushiya lo mhlaba ohlabayo

Sibonga yona le
Eyodwa owayizala
Noma singazi ukuthi
zingaki osazibulala.

Waphenduka intandokazi
Ebafaneni, kodwa ngiyethemba
Akuyona imikhuba
Yentando ntokazi,
Hawu kodwa ngadlala
Ngentando nje uban
Ongaythandi idriving school
Esikhiqize ompetha
Babashadikazi oh njalo
Babashayeli.
Nami bengsacabanga ukuya
Kodwa ngiyezwa
Kuthiwa alifakwa libuya neHIV,
Pho ngingabe ngisayaphi?

Abazali bathi unguMbali
abafana bathi
UnguNomusa wakaHlabisa
Ngenxa yomusa obenzela
Wona bengawucelile
Futhi bengawuncengile.
Waba nezithandwa eziningi
Ezidida uSathane
Ngisho nawe uqobo,

Wakhipha isisu
Ngokugqoka ostamach out,
Ntombazane hamba erihab
Ngoba usuyisex edict.

Sibonga yona le
Eyodwa owayizala
noma singazi ukuthi
Zingaki osazibulala.

Young Love lies sleeping
In May-time of the year,
Among the lilies,
Lapped in the tender light:
White lambs come grazing,
White doves come building there:
