Hearts are cold
and yet warm
sarcastic and stubborn
the tears are all gone
but they come back again
hearts do not refrain

From the hole in my chest
I love you so
it hates me
it strays
from my intentions
I can't control
I can't regulate
I can't direct

I'm trying not to care
I'm dropping it from a 10th floor window
I'm trying not to scream

Smash into the hard Earth
getting up, I'm bent
but not broken

Looking to the sky
I wonder...
why can't I die?
