Leave Me Not Poem by Allistair Solomon

Leave Me Not

Leave me not here so all alone
The darkness is closing in.
There must be some way that I can atone
For this life I've lived in sin.
I know I've lied and cast that stone
Which brought good men to ruin.
Waited until their hope was gone
To strike them from within.
Please show me mercy as I lie prone
Regretting where I've been.
Save me before the blackness has grown
Too strong for me to win.

Implorations after the realisations of one`s sin well established in poetry.Sometimes sins and there what leaves us stained are washed away and are condoned.Sometimes however are not.Counts are not always in human hands.Someone above sees and controls.Well written this one too..
