Leaving No One Left To Argue Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Leaving No One Left To Argue

I have no clue,
What your expectations are.
Nor should you wait in anticipation,
Hoping to find me elated...
Your patience will discover,
I am blissfully satiated.

What I do I do until it is done.
Not one impression do I wish to make.
Unless it is a grumpiness that comes.
And my directness for some can come to stun.

But I am 'me'!
That's the only thing I can profess to be!
And not one bit insecure about my identity.
I know I can be rude, shrewd and mean.
And the knowing of 'that'...
Allows a peace of mind to myself I bring!

Leaving few if anyone left to argue with me,
That these comments I make are true.
And being honest with myself,
I have long learned how to do!
And I recommend with this hint suggested...
You should do the same thing too.
It will make you less annoying!
And bring your mind some rest.
