Leaving Portsmith Poem by Rachel Harris

Leaving Portsmith

The violins warm to the
Rhythm
Back and forth, how
Quickly
The heart is beating,
Waiting
For the future to start
Beginning
With a note that embarks on a
Journey
To new life? A deep breath is
Taken
By the expanse, the
Mystery
Of beauty and power and
Hope
For a better existence
Somewhere
Across rolling hills and an
Ocean
Of emotions clad in
Wonder
Is this all only a
Dream
Is ending on another
Note
There is in mind a
Question
That someone must
Ask
The music, what happens after
The End

I can tell it was a writing assignment because its not your usual format, but nontheless, I enjoyed its beauty and the effort you put into it.
