Left Scarred Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Left Scarred

No one needs permission to admit their misdeeds.
Or wrongs they have done to others.
Done to do they knew purposely.
No one needs to pretend,
What they did was not intended.
Nor should they seek,
To portray themselves as victims.
When the ones they have victimize,
Refuse to forgive them.
For the lies they have told to others.
Who still believe the hearing of their alibis.
But those whose lives have been ruined by lies.
Can not escape from being scutinized.
Nor have their reputations,
Returned back from the dirt.
The liars deserve.
But are forgiven to have their evil ways.
Another chance to perform them,
Again and again.
As if this is accepted.
To grant them approval to be who they are.
Although those left scarred,
And mentally bruised for life.
Are often heard to be told,
To get over it.
