Les's head
looked like the guy's on the left
in Brueghel's 'The Strife of Lent with Shrove-Tide'.
He knew it. It's on the cover
of 'Collected Poems' of '94.

I adapted one of his shortest once.
Gave it to him at Writers Week.
I wrote 'Senryu' when dirty,
he sort of said.

'Just two hours after
Eternal Life pills came out
someone took thirty.'
