Less Than Three Poem by Daniele Cerasoli

Less Than Three

Rating: 2.0

Do you love me?
I know for a fact that
I love you
But I don't believe
That you love me too.

I won't care much
If you say you don't
Because we can't control how we feel
But don't say that you do
If it isn't real.

If you loved me
You would care about what I think
You would respect my heart
And want to make me happy
By doing a small part.

If you loved me
You wouldn't want to make me upset
Even if something makes you glad;
Because how can you be happy
If you yourself made me sad?

If you loved me
You'd be sorry for what you did
And learn from your neglect;
You'd take your mistake, and
Know what you need to correct.

If you loved me
You'd want to be with me
And not make this a routine
Because we're always a part
And I don't know what's in between.

I love you
And I wouldn't ever do something
To make you upset
However great the opportunity may be
Because I'd be left in regret.

I can't do anything that
I know would get you down
Because if you're not happy with me
Then I can't have fun doing
Whatever I may be.

I want to be with you
I love spending time with you
And walking, with you beside
And that will never change
Unless I change what I feel inside.

I won't care much
If you say you don't love me
Because you can't control how you feel
But don't say that you do
If it isn't real.
