Lessons Prolonged Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Lessons Prolonged

The only notion broken,
Is a spoken peace unseen.
To let that fall to pieces,
And leave.

With wishes that keep haunting,
To want to live in peace...
Released.

And...
The only notion broken,
Is a spoken peace unseen.
To let it fall to pieces,
And leave.

With memories sought to cherish,
In between.
To be left unreached.
And lessons prolonged that are taught,
But no one seeks...
To reap.
