Let Go

Let go and move on
Just remember
the day the sun shone
You fall and break
Just remember
you get what you take
You hate the lies
Just remember
the blue skies
He spits and aims
Just remember
that you came
You swallow your pride
Just remember
you have an ugly side
You hurt and smile
Just remember
you where once a child
She copies and pretends
Just remember
it had to end
You quiver and shake
Just remember
not to fake
Your pain, you burn
Just remember
It was your turn

poet Edmund Spenser

My love is like to ice, and I to fire:
How comes it then that this her cold so great
Is not dissolved through my so hot desire,
But harder grows the more I her entreat?
