Let Me Expire In Your Arms Poem by Hebert Logerie

Let Me Expire In Your Arms

Let me expire in your arms tonight
Let me give you my love, my last breath
Revive me, love me, and kiss me. Until death
We had promised to be together, that's right.

In your arms, I'm at ease and quite comfortable
There I feel being in heaven. I have tears in my eyes
Because we are in love. You understand my cries
My pains, my worries. You help me feel very stable.

Darling, you make me who I am. You put me to sleep
You rock me from time to time, like a lonely hammock
On a windy Sunday afternoon. Listen to the deep beep
Of my heart. Keep on soothing and caressing my back.

Read it again. Let me snore quietly in your arms tonight
Let's keep our promise to be together until our last breath
Dream with me, rock me and love me as I love you until death
The birds are chirping. Get up, love; so we can redo it every night.
