Lets Go On An Adventure Poem by Guy Wild

You grabbed me by the hand and told me to follow you
'Let's go on an adventure' you said
I liked that
I liked the way you could say things and be so confident about them
Everything I said felt stupid and incomplete
'Where do you want to go? ' I asked
'Anywhere' you replied
Curiosity started to sing
My hands began to dance nervously
My throat started to tighten
Experts say there are physical signs of when you're falling in love
And I suppose they may be true
Because everything about you makes my heart flutter
The way you grab me when you're excited
The way you trace my face with your hand
And the way you look at me like there's nothing else in the world
I just wanted to grab you and kiss you
'What are you thinking about? ' you asked
'Nothing' I replied
