Some day soon I'll write you a Letter
But I'm not sure what I should say
I've got to tell you that I'm leaving
Though I know you'll only see it as running away
Maybe I'll write an apology
For the way we had to end
Though I'm not sure if this is a Letter
I'll ever have the heart to send
Maybe I'll explain to you why I'm going
If only to get it off my chest
Or maybe I'll simply print out the words 'I love you'
And say to hell with all the rest
I could tell you that I'm sorry
For all the things that I just couldn't be
Maybe I'll describe to you how it feels to be without you
Or how impossibly perfect you are to me
If I can force myself to face it
Maybe I'll admit that I've been secretly waiting for you all this time
My mouth could never say it so poetic
So I'll give my heart in the form of paper filled with lines
Some day soon I'll write this all into a Letter
Theres only one reason left for me to be afraid
I just wonder how you will react
When I confess that I want you to make me stay
