Letter To Covid-19

Rating: 3.0

Corona virus, Corona virus, Corona Virus.

Your name resonates from my voice is making me nervous.
Why?
Because you're contagious,
You're dangerous and
You're disastrous.
In the mouth of many,
Your name is like a chorus.
I know your plan is to destroy us.

But No!
We'll fight you by hand washing,
With soap and water.
We'll fight you by using facemasks,
We'll fight you by maintaining our social and physical distance,
We'll fight you by staying safe at home,
We'll fight you by using gloves because you're notorious
And when one is sick, they must report to the nearest health centre
And stay indoors.

COVID-19, you're most known by your muscle and back pain,
You're most known by your sore throat,
You're most known by your difficult breathing,
And you're most known by your high fever which makes one to shiver.

COVID-19, you think you're tough?
By God's Grace we'll develope your vaccine.
We've had enough.
You corona we must tackle and handcuff.

In Wuhan, you were an endemic.
You graduated into an epidemic,
Now you're left,
You're right and
You're center.
Which makes you a global pandemic.

Oh my goodness!
In the minds of many you've created panic.
Corona virus, Corona virus, Corona virus
Why are you so satanic?

We really don't need you here Mr virus
In our world today we have too many things already on our focus.
Like Poverty, Hunger, Corruption and Unemployment.
Eradicating you, surely will be our terminus.

COVID-19, you've caused us too many pains
Yet you're still pouring heavily like acid rain
We're humans,
We were not defeated by Influenza or Ebola
So you Mr. Corona virus,
We'll surely defeat, contain and conquer.

This is one great poetic construct.
