Only by sight i behold
and heart becomes ensnared
why doest thou ache
when i giveth not consent to thy motion?
O! Thou heart! Careth not thou to thine broken saga?
What needest thou that thou have me
in a compelling thought of her?
Satto voce her name whispered from within
canst thou give away thy feelings
to them its best suits?
i consent not in thy falling
for i knoweth not her willingness
at thy falling rescue
oh! Thou heart
what has thou done unto me?
Must i to thy motion a servant?
Must i to thy calling trembles
thou ruleth at thy decision carelessly
who ruleth amongst us?
Answer me oh thou heart? !
A lovely piece of poetry written in Shakespearean era English. In spheres of love, it takes alot of will power to go against the powerful emotions of the heart in favour of logic and reason. It is probably because love is spiritual in nature. I like the articulation of the piece. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
good poem, I like it, thanks. I invite you to read my poems and comment.
