Liar In My Heart Poem by erin maher

Liar In My Heart

Your image was perfect,
so calm and mellow.
I felt strongly about you,
you had me from hello.

You had me falling,
hoping you would catch me.
But there was more to you,
than you let me see.

I noticed the sparkle
in your blue eyes
and when you looked at me,
it would make me cry.

You gave me the love
you so strongly carry.
But now I realize
it was just imaginary

I thought you were different,
one in a million.
You played along with it
but now you're done.

The lies you told,
the truth you kept.
You broke my heart
and laughed as I wept.

I'm sick of your games,
I'm sick of the lies.
The truth finally came out,
what a surprise!
