Lies Poem by Jesyca Noonan

Lies

Rating: 5.0

Lies are what he told me
Lies are all he said
They hurt and sting
In that one special place
The words were wrapped in lace
When opened I would see
He's not all that I thought he would be
Friends to help me hope
That my prince will soon stop the mope
Sadness comes over me
When I remember all the glee
Maybe I should end the depression
It will hopefully teach me a lesson
That there is no love for me to own
Maybe I should end the rant
And try to feed the plant
That's now growing inside of me
Because of where he put his love
Never will he rise above
For the horrible thing he has done
Now alone and abandoned
I have nowhere to turn
My family will disown me
My friends will hate me
He won't care
If the plant shall stop growing
He will be glad
I have no choice
But to turn away from my family
For my child's life must go on happily
A plant
The plant
Is my one and only care
Without the father's help
I could careless
Don't believe him
Lies
Lies
