Lies From A Friend Poem by kayla martinez

Lies From A Friend

When I tell you, I love you,
Do you actually listen to me?
You say that you do love me, too,
But do you really want to agree?

So many questions that need to be said,
They all come to me as I lie in my bed.
I think about you and all the lies.
My brother says, 'All she does...is cries.'

He is very right, my friend,
And he knows I'll fight 'til the end.
No more crying over you, no more tears.
I've gotten through a lot in the past years.

You are one I will not, cannot lose,
But it's your turn, your time to choose.
Do you love me, or do you hate me?
Answer me this, and I'll let you be.

I love you with my whole entire heart.
Just know, I would die if we were to part.
When I know the answer to this question,
I hope I learned the valuable lesson.

Don't trust those who tell you lies,
And always be ready to say your goodbyes.
No friendship should ever have to end.
If it does, they weren't a true friend.
