Lies On Fire Poem by Chase Breeden

Lies On Fire

If you see the smoke
Don't cause a commotion
It's only the ash
Of your broken devotion
Your memories, now severed,
That crippled my dreams
Will now rot in Earth
Where i can't hear their screams,
Squeals, howls of the past
Now lying, descending,
Decaying at last
If you see the flames
Burning jagged, askew
Don't be alarmed
It's just the memory of you
