Lies Under Heaven Poem by Dave Dunn

Lies Under Heaven

She told all lies under heaven
All lies ever known
All lies under heaven
Before she left our home

When love breaks your heart
When love breaks your mind
No pain could be bigger
No death too unkind

Still much in my head
Never more in our bed
Can't ever stop thinking
About all that she said

All that she said
Was poison and bile
I dig for the truth
Through muck deep and vile

Was love ever present
Did she always deceive
There can be no answer
Don't know what to believe

Trust is the biggest
Casualty of all
The lies that she left here
Fill the bedroom and hall
