Life. Poem by Graham Jones

Life.

Life spreads out before us
Like some undeciphered code
Awaiting a direction
To send us down the road

With no pitfalls to way lay us
No fear, ill health or worry
Only happiness and fortune
No regrets or saying sorry

To meet our soulmate on the way
Someone to share and love
Raise our children in harmony
Watched over from above

Our fate mapped out before us
Generations left behind
The twists and turns of circumstance
That is the human mind.
