Life After A Death Poem by Ray Hansell

Life After A Death

I close my eyes and see you
Every single night
Wishing you were here
For me to hold so tight

I miss you so very much
Much more than I thought
Sometimes I find myself
So filled with distraught

I know that you are gone
Never to return home
I know that life wasn't meant to be
Lived so all alone

I know I'll get through this
Because I know I have to
In the bedroom beside the bed
Hangs, the lovely portrait fo you

I know it sounds cliche
But you left life much too soon
I should be hearing you right now
With the laughter that filled our room

But now you are in God's hands
Looking down from uo above
Just remember what I told you
That you were my only true love
