Life Is Lemons Poem by Bron Dayvid

Life Is Lemons

It’s time I let it loose let life free
I feel as if I have no control over what life wants me to be
Needs me to be
So until I find out I’m bettering me
I open up my eyes and like the letter I C
The world around is so outrageous
Young black men are easily enraged with
The need to cause harm to spread hatred to others
I ask where are the fathers the sister brothers and mothers
Anybody somebody tell them that we love them
So that emptiness in their hearts with love we can fill
And they no longer want to spread fear harm others or kill
And still… this world is filled with much more dilemmas
But we need to fight until it’s nothing left in us
What do you do when life gives u lemons?
You convert them into apples because in life there are no limits
Limitations are creations of our own imaginations
And all apprehensions should be used as motivation
Not intimidation because what is the purpose of fear
Is it to caution us or disable us from living?
Life is short and already ending so don’t let you fears immobilize your dreams
And realize that even in the darkest skies sun light can still be seen
